Kefalonia is a Greek island from the Ionian group together with Corfu, Zakynthos, Ithaki and Lefkada. All these islands have a unique musical culture, different than the rest of Greece, with strong Italian influences. They have developped a special form of serenade (called "Cantada") based on a chorus backed by guitars and mandolins. This rare folkloric CD contains a kind of small beautiful Cantadas named Arietes, particular to the island of Kefalonia. A melodic CD, with romantic songs from the past and outstanding phonetic harmony. Enjoy.
