On savait que les Ramones, dans leurs nombreuses tournées marathon, étaient souvent venu en France pour botter le cul des hordes punk-rockers de l'époque. Dans ces gigs effrénées, ils ont dû rencontrer charnellement certaines punkettes franchouillardes, bien sûr sans se protéger, comme c'était l'usage à l'époque. Je passerai sur les MST et autres… (après tout, ils ne sont pas mort de ça !). Toujours est-il que cela à donner de dignes rejetons en les personnes de Los Di Maggios. Ça fait 1, 2, 3, 4 et ça part à fond la caisse pour des morceaux binaires de deux minutes. Mais bien sûr me diriez vous, le talent n'est pas héréditaire, je n'attends pas avec impatience les albums solo des fils Lennon… C'était juste pour décrire ces douze titres de Los Di Maggios qui sont un bon concentré de ce que les faux frères de New York ont inventé un beau matin des années 70 en jouant basique et en chantant " hey ho let's go ". Les influences sont là, clamées de façons claires et fortes. Les Ramones sont incontestablement une référence mondiale mais j'ai trop souvent croisé des groupes refaire simplement du copier-coller. Los Di Maggios gagnent le pari de tenir un album entier sans saouler tout le monde : c'est énergique, positif avec les refrains simples et efficaces.Tracklist:
