Joshua Logan in 1969 directed the film version of the musical of the same name, 'Paint your wagon' on Broadway from 1951-1953. The movie was nominated for an Oscar for best soundtrack. The authors were famous showbiz musical couple, Alan Jay Lerner (lyrics) and Frederick Loewe (music). The musical version of the film was arranged, orchestrated and conducted by Nelson Riddle, with the collaboration of Roger Wagner as choir director and André Previn in some additional songs. This CD offers a selection of 14 of the main themes of the soundtrack, which fail to incorporate all of the 23 included in the original version.Track list:
