Listening to Tuvan throat singer Sainkho is a musical experience like no other. Her voice is an extraordinary instrument, producing sounds which seem to come from an unknown distant world.
Continuing her endless quest for experimentation and new musical collaborations this album was recorded over a couple of days with the Tuareg band Tinariwen, thus combining two nomadic traditions. Sung in Tuvan, Russian, and English, steppe punk-rock, droning mood-pieces and epic ballads are all present but this is music which is ultimately unclassifiable .
