School of Seven Bells - Disconnect From Desire

Millennial shoegazers, rejoice – Brooklyn's School of Seven Bells recently announced the 2010 release of their second album Disconnect From Desire, the hotly anticipated followup to July 2009's Alpinisms. Little has surfaced regarding Desire's content, although according to singer/guitarist Alejandra Deheza's recent interview with NME, the band is ready to evolve. Said Deheza, "Don't get me wrong – I love those songs [on Alpinisms], but, you know, if the band don't keep moving I think I'm just gonna lose my mind." No word yet on whether that statement means this new album will mark an end to the starry-eyed harmonies and tense arrangements that launched the band's success.
