Sophia Vembo, known as "The singer of Victory", was a legendary Greek singer and actress active from the interwar period to the early postwar years and the 50s. She was adored and respected as few artists in greek musical history, mainly due to her patriotic songs during WWII, that encouraged people to resist and fight back against the invading ennemies. She passed away in 1978, leaving behind hundreds of popular and beloved songs. This rare compilation includes 21 of Vembo's best selling hits, digitally remastered from the original 78 rpm and LP recordings. Enjoy.
