Two years after the release of their debut album the Next Step Quintet present their new album fruit of their cooperation with the American saxophonist Tivon Pennicott.
The "2" includes 7 new compositions, with the characteristic sound of the band. But at the same time the Next Step with great confidence and efficiency, exploring new sound paths.
The new album proves that technical perfection, groove and beautiful melodies can coexist harmoniously. The dynamic atmosphere in “the Architect” with the characteristic bowing of the κοντραμπάσου, brilliantly and masterfully solo in “Erotic Warfare,” smart groove “Rosalinda's Dance” and the effortless melody of “The Last Dance” are only a few of the samples of the high-class of this album.
The recording and the mixing of the "2" was made at the Studio Sierra and mastered by Doug Henderson.
