Tommy Smith is one of jazz saxophonists, composers and Scottish directors (Scottish National Jazz Orchestra) better known internationally since the late 80's. This album features another one of many tributes to Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn. On familiar topics of both ('In a Sentimental Mood', 'Prelude to a kiss' or 'Sophisticated Lady', …), recreate safely and without surprises, adhered to the teachers, a relaxed atmosphere that is pleasant to enjoy with the emotional warmth of his tenor sax.
