One of the best works of Yiannis Markopoulos. Released in 1970, during the period of the military junta in Greece, introduced Nikos Xylouris and his wonderful cretan voice. With Xylouris, will hear also Maria Dimitriadi, an excellent female voice, who unfortunatelly is not with us any more. Markopoulos has done all the arrangements using traditional cretan and pontiac instruments. The album makes a journey through the history of Greece and remained unrivalled till nowdays. Enjoy a musical masterpiece in a new fully remastered edition from the original LP.
