Born in Tel Aviv and based in France, pianist Yonatan Avishai has an original style that focuses on and reenergizes the main elements of jazz - swing, blues , improvisation - in a very personal way. Inspired by John Lewis, Duke Ellington and Ahmad Jamal, Avishai returns to the foundations and the essence of the trio, joined by bassist Yoni Zelnik and drummer Donald Kontomanou. Modern Times is a reflection on the cycles of life, using a universe full of emotions and colors.
