In October 1962, the Cuban Missile Crisis broke out. In response to the deployment of Soviet missiles in Cuba, the United States imposed a blockade of the island of Liberty
The tension in the confrontation between the nuclear powers was growing. Soviet strategic bombers were deployed to the borders of the country - closer to targets in Europe and America. The degree of readiness was the highest.
In those days, everyone involved in these events had inhuman tension. Even incomplete knowledge of the capabilities of nuclear weapons painted a gruesome picture of the consequences of their use. The world stood on the threshold of the Third World War…
