A 3-disc bundle of the artist's pivotal new millennium pop party dance music, Ultimate Rave brings together CDs of 1999s Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic and its 2001 remix Rave In2 the Joy Fantastic alongside a DVD containing the full-length performance version of Rave Un2 the Year 2000. Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic features a surprising amount of guest artists (Chuck D, Eve, Gwen Stefani, Sheryl Crow) and a clutch of radio-friendly tracks while Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic was one of the first full releases for Prince's innovative NPG Music Club members; highlights include a remix of Hot Wit U that incorporates elements of the Prince-penned Vanity 6 hit "Nasty Girl" and the previously unreleased "Beautiful Strange."

His Majesty’s Pop Life (subtitled "The Purple Mix Club") is a compilation album of Prince’s studio work, initially released in 1985 as a promotional record in Japan only, following the commercial release of Around The World In A Day and its associated singles. At that time, it was Prince’s third promotional compilation album (after a 1984 sampler and Strange Tales From the Rain). His Majesty’s Pop Life was re-released worldwide in a limited quantity (14 000 copies) for the Record Store Day on 13 April 2019, becoming Prince’s eight compilation album and the fifth posthumous release. In 2020, the album received a wider retail release in Japan only, including its first release on CD.

The unexpected death of Prince has shook the musical world, not only because of dying at an early age, but mostly, because we have lost one of the greatest talents of pop culture of the last 50 years. The Super Deluxe Edition contains 75 audio tracks across 7 CDs, of which 47 are previously unreleased, including 33 studio tracks from Prince’s legendary Vault. • The Super Deluxe Edition opens with Prince & The New Power Generation’s multi-platinum album, Diamonds And Pearls, dazzlingly remastered for the very first time by Prince’s original mastering engineer Bernie Grundman. Also included are 15 of the incredible remixes and B-sides from the era, including the never commercially released “Gett Off (Damn Near 10 Min.)” mix, all of which have also been remastered for the very first time. At the heart of the set sit 33x previously unreleased studio recordings from Prince’s legendary Vault, making up three hours of audio. The set also includes an entire previously unreleased audio recording of Prince & The New Power Generation’s preview performance of the Diamonds And Pearls tour at Prince’s Minneapolis club, Glam Slam, on January 11th, 1991.

Even geniuses (maybe especially geniuses) are taken for granted, not seen as geniuses, or only appreciated in small doses.
