82 year old New Orleans jazz guitarist Warren Batiste is joined by pianist Larry Siebert, bassist Jim Markway and drummer Richard Hale for this set of jazz mainly jazz standards. Warren has worked with Jimmy McGriff, Lionel Hampton, Nancy Wilson, Sarah Vaughn, Jimmy Scott, Sonny Stitt and Illinois Jacquet but is relatively unknown outside New Orleans. This is one of two Thunder CD's I bought and I play them both over and over again. Thunder are a truly wonderful rock band and I love them. They are not well enough known as far as I'm concerned. Every track is super and I can listen to them on repeat forever. My boyfriend's band cover a couple of their songs and they're my favourite. What more can I say, I love them and you will too.
