Compiled by renowned journalist and author Jon Savage, the boxset is released in celebration of Ian Curtis - in the year that is the 30th anniversary of his death. +- includes singles which have previously been issued and some which have been created specifically for this release. Although they released two albums in two years - 'Unknown Pleasures' (1979) and 'Closer' (1980), Joy Division recorded many other tracks throughout their career that were released on stand-alone singles - most notably 'Transmission' and 'Love Will Tear Us Apart'. +- brings these singles, and more, together in one place. As a co-founder of the legendary independent label Factory Records Peter Saville leant his eyes to the project providing stunning outer packaging and suggesting the concept for the sleeves. Each cover is based upon its original and - as a snapshot of a band and a time - serves to remind the owner of the unique position Joy Division hold in British musical history.

SUPERB UK BROADCAST FROM THE TWO AGAINST NATURE TOUR. In 2000, Steely Dan released their first studio album in 20 years: Two Against Nature. It won four Grammy Awards: Best Engineered. Album , Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Performance by Duo or Group with Vocal (‘Cousin Dupree’), and Album of the Year (despitestrong competition in this category from Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP and Radiohead's Kid A). In the summer of 2000, they began an American tour, followed by an international tour later in the year. The tour featured guitarist Jon Herington, who would go on to play with the band over the next two decades. The group released the Plush TV Jazz-Rock Party DVD, documenting a live-in-the-studio concert performance of popular songs from throughout Steely Dan's career.

ARELY HEARD 1982 BROADCAST FROM AN EARLY US FURS SHOW Already a popular act in London and New York City when this remarkable show by The Psychedelic Furs was both performed, and indeed recorded for live transmission by the King Biscuit Flower Hour in late 1982, the gig came about a year after the band broke through in the US. With Richard and Tim Butler as the core members of the band, Richard's undeniable stage charisma is one factor in what made The Psychedelic Furs such a remarkable live band. The group was making its way into the American music mainstream with songs like "Love My Way," "Sister Europe," and "Into You Like a Train," all performed here with high impact, having formed in the UK in 1977 with Richard and his brother bassist. They soon added the rest of the band and started making a splash on the then thriving UK new wave/post punk club circuit.

This superb jazz compilation from Finnish label LOVE RECORDS. features Olli Ahvenlahti-GranDMA's Rocking Chair, who also released a 12-inch remix by Kenny Dope ! A1 is a thrilling jazz-funk track, combining horns, organ, electric piano, and rolling percussion . A3 begins with a jazz-funk beat and transitions into a beautiful jazz waltz midway through. A4 is jazz-funk with horns and piano, reminiscent of GROOVE MERCHANT's work. A5 is hippie-folk, hypnotic jazz vocals, with cutting guitar and electric piano driving through. And the highlight is Juhani Aaltonen & Otto Donner, featuring beautiful strings over a track featuring Sabu Martinez's percussion .

Intrada announces the premiere release of James Newton Howard's 1990 score to Columbia Pictures' Flatliners. It's a score that has deserved a release for the past 35 years and one of the last major Howard scores to have never been released in any format. It's a massive work, composed for large orchestra and chorus. Befitting the hyperreal style of the film, the composer tackles big ideas like spirituality and religion head on, with a score as grand as the themes suggest. As Howard recalls, “Some memories I have were having a 90-piece orchestra for the first time to do whatever I wanted and bringing in all kinds of different electronics and sampled stuff, including a specific ‘monkey chant’ from Bali. The main idea for me was trying to musically express redemption—a theme that blooms into its big version heard in 'Flatliners End Titles.'" It was also Howard's first time writing for large choir.
