Necronomicon #1-4 Complete

Writer William Messner-Messner-Loebs and artist Andrew Ritchie reveal the secret history of legendary author H.P. Lovecraft's book of forbidden knowledge in “,” a four-issue miniseries from BOOM! Studios that tells the story of the book's creation. In Lovecraft’s mythology, the Necronomicon is a book of forbidden knowledge written by the “Mad Arab” Abdul Alhazred. Messner-Loebs, who is perhaps best known for his lengthy runs on DC Comics’ “Wonder Woman” in the 1990s as well as his work with Sam Kieth on “The Maxx,” draws on his knowledge of Lovecraft lore to craft his own spin on this tale, with the help of quirky, beautiful artwork from Ritchie. Both come together perfectly for a unique book that could very well serve as an introduction to the macabre world of H.P. Lovecraft.
