Finite Element Analysis of Non-Newtonian Flow: Theory and Software

Finite Element Analysis of Non-Newtonian Flow: Theory and Software by Hou-Cheng Huang
English | PDF | 1999 | 225 Pages | ISBN : 1852330244 | 20.5 MB

A follow on from the author's work "Finite Elements in Heat Transfer" which we published 11/94, and which is a powerful CFD programme that will run on a PC. The fluid flow market is larger than the previous, and this package is good value in comparison with other software packages in Computational Fluid Dynamics, which are generally very expensive. The work in general copes with non-Newtonian laminar flow using the finite element method, and some basic theory of the subject is included in the opening chapters of the book.

Nuclear Reactor Engineering: Reactor Systems Engineering by Samuel Glasstone
English | PDF | 1994 | 395 Pages | ISBN : 1461358663 | 35.85 MB

Dr. Samuel Glasstone, the senior author of the previous editions of this book, was anxious to live until his ninetieth birthday, but passed away in 1986, a few months short of this milestone. I am grateful for the many years of stimulation received during our association, and in preparing this edition have attempted to maintain his approach.

Efficient transfer between science and society is crucial for their future development. The rapid progress of information technology and computer systems offers a large potential and new perspectives for solving complex problems. Mathematical modelling and simulation have become important tools not only in scientific investigations but also in analysing, planning and controlling technological and economic processes. Mathematics, imbedded in an interdisciplinary concept, has become a key technology.
