The two long-form pieces presented as Portals and Spirals were created in 2025, inspired by over two years of live performances across the US. These studio-created pieces capture the current evolution of Steve’s passion, obsession, and dedication to the multidimensional sonic inner-weaves emanating from the Timehouse ridgetop studio. The LP and long-box trifold CD with die-cut portal digipak (DVD size) is stunning—a testament to physical objects that hold energy within themselves. The LP edition contains arrangements and mixes created specifically for the LP format, providing a different perspective from the CD edition.

Portals and Spirals

There are phases in life where one can feel a peak passage unfolding while directly in it. Referred to as “being in the zone,” I call it the all-is-now moment—the front side of now. The ecstasy of these fully expanded present-moment occurrences is experienced at many points in life, never to be repeated on any level as you’re in it, and often never documented. Fleeting and ephemeral, this is why we keep going for it… that perfect present moment of pure, 100% engagement. It was captured here.

This experience is stored as a memory we can recall over time as it fades into our inventory of pinnacle moments. We can continue to draw from this as it often shapes who we are. This could be riding a 100-foot wave in Hawaii, witnessing a sunset like never before—or ever again—that will be gone forever in minutes, or feeling the stillness of an early morning after a dramatic desert thunderstorm.
