The jubilant voices of the Acappella Company are amazingly prolific, having recorded dozens of albums through the years. Their inspirational themes are blended in a contemporary-meets-gospel style. 'Carols' was released in 1993, and features the group performing all of the best-loved holiday gems: 'O Holy Night, The First Noel,' 'Joy To The World' and 'Silent Night,' plus six more. While the production and arrangements are certainly not plain, by comparison to their original compositions, they are restrained. 'Silent Night' retains the simplicity of this ubiquitous melody, but improvises upon it, adding warmth and depth with a resonant bass and perfectly-timed harmonic backing. You can't go wrong with this one!
