    "Mean machine", second album by U.D.O. or the Udo Dirkschneider's band (though it's obviously a solo project, focused on him), shows more Accept, out of Accept, devised by the mythic, and back then, ex-vocalist of said German band.

    This "Mean machine" is interesting, showcasing hardened riffola & sub-classical incursions by the Mathias Dieth/Andy Susemihl guitars, and a set of tunes that would fit perfectly into the Accept idiosyncrasy, though the songwriting is generally inferior to the Accept standards.
    "Mean machine" could be called a decent Euro metal disc for 1989, with touches of thrash and why not: 'power' metal, everything graced by the hysterically brilliant vocals of Udo, and certain standouts: 'Streets on fire', 'Painted love' and the title track, though the cut that brings Accept to mind in all its right dimension is the ballad 'Sweet little child'.
