Last year, Poland celebrated the fact Grazyna Bacewicz was born a hundred years ago. She had been one of the country’s greatest composers in the 20th century. Acknowledged as such in her native country, but somehow forgotten in the rest of the world, this bright and elegant woman deserves some special attention. There have been a couple of posts of her works already.
In a sequel of four posts I will present to you her complete string quartets and piano quintets in a set comprising three cds, and her piano works on a single album.
