The vocalist Liane Foly was born as Eliane Folleix in Lyon, France in the year 1962. As her parents both played in a local band Foly grew up in a musical environment and soon became the vocalist of the family band. As a teenager she started to perform as a solo act on the Lyon circuit, and in 1988 her debut album “The Man I Love”, a mixture of jazz covers and jazzy originals.
