Toots Thielemans, the renowned harmonica player and one of the world's great jazz icons, turned 90 years old in April. Challenge Records is celebrating this anniversary with a special live CD and bonus DVD that contains unique material. The CD was recorded live with his excellent quartet, whilst the DVD includes 'Between a smile and a tear' - a wonderful documentary about Toots. "I can say without hesitation that Toots is one of the greatest musicians of our time. On his instrument he ranks with the best that jazz has ever produced. He goes for the heart and makes you cry.
