Various Artists - 50 (2010) [Stardumb Records' Jubilee Release] CD version

This double LP in nice gatefold sleeve is Stardumb's 50th release and includes 28 songs by 14 Stardumb related bands, who each recorded a new song as well as a cover of a song Stardumb previously released. This results in some really nice and surprising covers, like the Peawees who make the Groovie Ghoulies sound like Bo Diddley and El Pino & The Volunteers covering soul-legend Nathaniel Mayer. Other bands on the record are The Apers, Accelerators, Manges, Sonic Dolls, Zatopeks, Stilettos, Kepi Ghoulie and more! A CD featuring all 28 songs from both LP's is included.

Stardumb Records is an independent record label based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Stardumb Records started its operation in 2000. Their first release was a 7-inch by local band The Apers, and releases by similar pop punk bands inspired by the sound of Lookout! Records artists followed. Their roster included Italy's The Manges, and Retarded, and the UK's Zatopeks while they also released records by US bands like The Groovie Ghoulies, The Methadones and The Queers. Stardumb is the best known European label for this type of music. Their releases have been reviewed by numerous publications.
