Sinister Creed is Funeral Winds fourth album in twentyseven years. Despite not being a very prolific act, Hellchrist Xul’s creature is one of the first black metal bands ever to come out of the Netherlands underground. Even if released via Avantgarde Music, expect no avantgarde music here: Sinister Creed is pure rage coming from the early Nineties, a way to channel evil with ice-cold riffs, neverending up-tempos and ravaging shrieks. Simple as that. Funeral Winds are devoted to master the black arts, not some hip fine tune, therefore there is only one thing you can expect from the Dutch duo: total devastation. For all those who miss the way things used to be almost thirty years ago, Sinister Creed is a beacon in the dark, or better, a pit of darkness in this ever-lit world.

Giovanni Maria Legrenzi is no longer the household name it was during the 17th and 18th Centuries. Lengrenzi's shameful neglect by the record industry has been hard to fathom, but this new Divox release of his chamber oratorio «The death of the Repentant Heart» could well launch the much-needed revival for the Venetian master - a composer who took over where Gabrieli and Monteverdi left off. Legrenzi, better known for his operas than his religious works durîng his lifetime (1626-1690), was widely admired (and copied) all over Europe.

Faust's new album Fresh Air differs in several respects from its predecessor, Just Us. The recordings were made at Jean-Hervé Péron's rehearsal studio in Schiphorst in northern Germany, hypnotic pieces with the kind of noisemaking the band is known for. For the new album, Péron and Werner "Zappi" Diermaier were looking for communication with musician friends and the audience. The tracks were recorded in changing ensembles at changing locations in the USA (during a tour in 2016). In these community recordings, with friendly support from Péron's database of field recordings, a strongly shaded noise music emerged which extends its feelers to the remotest corners of the here and now. Droning, swinging, lusting for freedom, here and there holding out quite stoically as machine-room blues…

Veteran Italian rock band Pooh formed in Bologna in 1966. During the late '60s, the band featured Roby Facchinetti, Valerio Negrini, Dodi Battaglia, and Riccardo Fogli, but after Negrini left in 1971, the band recruited guitarist, bassist, and vocalist Red Canzian plus drummer and percussionist Stefano D'Orazio, and began a long run as one of the best and most popular Italian rockers of their times. The band recorded for many labels, including CBS, Vedette, CGD (Compagnia Generale del Disco), and Warner Music Italy, selling over 100 million records in the process. Pooh continued to tour and record continually up into the 2010s, but in late 2016 they decided to call it quits by the end of the year, in order to complete their 50-year anniversary as a band./quote]
