When electronics engineer Mitch MacAfee spots a UFO as "big as a battleship," from his plane, the Air Force scrambles planes to investigate. However, nothing shows up on radar, and one of the jets is lost during the action. MacAfee is regarded as a dangerous crackpot until other incidents and disappearances convince the authorities that the threat is real. Some believe it is a French-Canadian folk legend come to life, but it turns out to be an extraterrestrial giant bird composed of anti-matter whose disregard for human life and architecture threatens the world.
A teacher and his five female students are attacked by a monster with neon-green eyes. The teacher escapes but his students are completely dismembered. He soon discovers the monster is worshipped by a cult whose ambition is to rule the world and tear the clothes off young girls.
The Salzburg Festival has hosted every great star of the opera and concert hall, from Toscanini to Anne-Sophie Mutter, from Fischer-Dieskau to Barenboim, from Pollini to Mitsuko Uchida. Highlights include performances of Jedermann from 1920 to the present day, featuring actors such as Maximilian Schell and Klaus Maria Brandauer; Don Giovanni (with Furtw ngler in 1954 and a controversial performance directed by Peter Sellars in the 90s); a wealth of footage of Herbert von Karajan, including performances and never-seen-before home movies; and film of the Nazi hierarchy at the Festival during the Second World War. Alongside this historical footage, the film interviews contemporary stars such as Placido Domingo, Valery Gergiev, Lang Lang, James Levine, Anna Netrebko, Riccardo Muti and Simon Rattle, who tell their stories and open their hearts about this unique Festival.
Documentary meeting some of America's most dangerous young offenders. The Wabash Valley Correctional Facility in Indiana is home to 40 teenagers serving terms of up to 65 years for a range of serious crimes. This programme follows those spending their first night in the maximum-security prison and others preparing to move up to adult jail. They include Blake Layman, 17, sentenced to 55 years for murder, and Ireland MacKean, 16, who says he wants to stay out of trouble behind bars as he starts a 10-year term for robbery.
