Jay Dobyns, Nils Johnson-Shelton "No Angel: My Harrowing Undercover Journey to the Inner Circle of the Hells Angels"
    Broadway Books | English | February 2, 2010 | ISBN: 0307405869 | 352 pages | azw, epub, lrf, mobi | 6,4 mb

This was an interesting book but I did not like how Mr. Dobyns kept referring to himself. I'm sure he was a good football player and has an addictive personality but I got turned off as I continually had to read about him constantly reminding me, the reader about himself. I also could not believe how careless the Arizona Hells Angels were. Even after being told that Mr. Dobyns was not a member of the Solo Angeles by a member of that MC he was still accepted by the HA.

Gang Leader for a Day: A Rogue Sociologist Takes to the Streets

Sudhir Venkatesh "Gang Leader for a Day: A Rogue Sociologist Takes to the Streets"
    Penguin Books | English | December 30, 2008 | ISBN: 014311493X | 320 pages | azw, epub, lrf, mobi | 3,7 mb

This book is as riveting an academic research report as you are ever likely to read. In Freakonomics, many people were fascinated by a section that described how most crack cocaine dealers lived at home with their mothers. Why? They make less money than minimum wage. The source of that factoid was research conducted on site by Sudhir Venkatesh, author of Gang Leader for a Day, who describes in this book how he did that research and came to make decisions one day for part of the Black Kings gang in Chicago.

Hepatic Encephalopathy (Clinical Gastroenterology) by Kevin D. Mullen and Ravi K. Prakash
    English | ISBN: 1617798355 | 2012 | PDF | 251 pages | 3,5 MB

Because of the increasing burden of hepatitis C and fatty liver disease, there is an explosion in the prevalence of chronic liver failure and hence its complications. The onset of Hepatic Encephalopathy (HE) in these patients has a significant impact on the quality of life, morbidity and mortality. Unfortunately, the approach observed by most clinicians to this complex disorder is minimalistic.

    Anchor | English | June 8, 2004 | ISBN: 1400032806 | 432 pages | azw, epub, lrf, mobi | 3,8 mb

Jon Krakauer continues to write brilliant, well-researched books that make the reader think long after completing the book. Following up Into Thin Air and Into the Wild with another terrific book seemed unlikely, but Krakauer has managed to do it. His look at a tragic double murder, and the Mormon Fundamendalist movement, will shock and outrage most rational people. He gives us an insight into a part of America that most of us will never see.

    Grand Central Publishing | English | April 23, 2013 | ISBN: 1455573825 | 368 pages | azw, epub, lrf, mobi | 3,7 mb

The Monster of Florence is really two stories, each shocking in its own way. Douglas Preston, a mystery writer, travels to Italy to research a novel and meets with Mario Spezi, a well-respected crime journalist, to learn about Italy's justice system. Spezi ends up telling Preston a tale much more interesting than the one he'd been planning to write that of a series of horrific murders committed between 1968 and 1985.

    Broadway Books | English | October 5, 2010 | ISBN: 0307409074 | 336 pages | azw, epub, lrf, mobi | 3,7 mb

"The Fourth Star" takes four of the key architects of the modern U.S. Army generals Petraeus, Chiarrelli, Abizaid, and Casey, and traces their development from youth to the pinnacle of power, using them as a window into the revival of the Army from a dangerously flawed institution to an effective one. It provides great insight on both the character of these leaders (and the nature of ambition), and the Army they helped re-build.

Functional Respiratory Disorders: When Respiratory Symptoms Do Not Respond to Pulmonary Treatment by Ran D. Anbar
    English | ISBN: 1617798568 | 2012 | PDF | 362 pages | 2,7 MB

Many patients with pulmonary complaints fail to improve despite physicians’ best efforts. Sometimes, we ascribe this failure to lack of adherence with therapy, or to the severity of the condition. What we often fail to appreciate, however, is that sometimes the lack of improvement can be explained by the patients' psychological states.

Daniel Reingold, Jennifer Reingold "Confessions of a Wall Street Analyst: A True Story of Inside Information and Corruption in the Stock Market"
    HarperBusiness | English | May 29, 2007 | ISBN: 0060747706 | 384 pages | azw, epub, lrf, mobi | 6 mb

This is a very valuable book for those who want to know what Wall Street analysts do, or at least what they did in this period. As a former Wall Street analyst, I can attest that it has the ring of truth. The author comes across as being overly obsessed with Jack Grubman, however. Getting revenge seems to have been one of his strongest motivations in writing this book, and he certainly has succeeded.
