    Center Street | English | October 28, 2014 | ISBN: 1599954184 | 432 pages | azw, epub, lrf, mobi | 6,4 mb

This is unlike any Ted Dekker book I have read previously. His other novels are fantasy and suspense, and A.D. 30 is a historical novel. It's also one of his best, in my opinion. A.D. 30 is told in the first-person from the point of view of Maviah, a Bedouin slave. Maviah is sent to the city of Sepphoris to try to strike a bargain with King Herod so her people might be freed from the oppression of a neighboring tribe.

    Language: English | EPUB / MOBI | ISBN-10: 0312200501 | 1999 | 352 pages | 0.5 MB / 0.8 MB

An unusually comprehensive study of death as both a social and scientific phenomenon, When We Die is as frank as it is informed. This far-reaching discussion considers mortality from the personal and the universal perspective, generously citing past and present poets and physicians from a diverse and telling range of traditions. Mims, who for two decades served as Professor of Microbiology at London's Guys Hospital, brings a humane, inquisitive, and learned sensibility to his topic. "This book is a light-hearted but wide-ranging survey of death, the causes of death, and the disposal of corpses," writes Mims. "It tells why we die and how we die, and what happens to the dead body and its bits and pieces.

    St. Martin's Griffin | English | October 28, 2014 | ISBN: 1250044618 | 400 pages | azw, epub, lrf, mobi | 3,8 mb

Great book, by a great author, about strong women! Highly recommended! C.C. Hunter has a knack for writing brilliantly complex characters. Della has been such an intriguing character for me from the beginning, with the first Shadow Falls short-story Turned at Dark, that when I read the first Shadow Falls book, I was a bit surprised/disappointed initially that the main story line was about Kylie rather than Della, but after getting into the first novel, Born at Midnight, it was obvious that Kylie's story was the one that needed to be told first.
