Marquee Moon is the debut album by American rock band Television. It was released on February 8, 1977, by Elektra Records. In the years leading up to the album, Television had become a prominent act on the New York music scene and generated interest from a number of record labels, eventually signing a record deal with Elektra. The group rehearsed extensively in preparation for Marquee Moon before recording it at A & R Recording in September 1976. It was produced by the band's frontman Tom Verlaine and sound engineer Andy Johns.

Very cool 70s work from Ray Conniff – two albums that have him taking on a very new groove. "Theme From S.W.A.T." features a whole host of hip TV themes from the time - performed by Conniff's studio ensemble with a strong focus on instrumental solos. The Conniff Singers come in for a bit, but don't dominate entirely as they do on some of Ray's other 70s records. "Send In The Clowns" is a nice mix of modes from Ray Conniff – as the record has him trying on a whole bunch of different styles – TV themes, soulful pop, and moodier mellow numbers – including one that even features some guest piano from Pete Jolly.

"Now, Then & Forever" is the 20th studio album by Earth, Wind & Fire. This marks the group’s first new studio album in eight years. Earth, Wind & Fire’s first album of new studio material since 2005.

A highlight of vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson's career, "Components" shows off two sides of his music, literally: the original vinyl release featured original Hutcherson hard bop compositions on side one and avant-garde jazz tunes contributed by drummer Joe Chambers on side two. In addition to Chambers, the other musicians joining Hutcherson here include Herbie Hancock on piano, Freddie Hubbard on trumpet and Ron Carter on double bass.

"Happenings" is Bobby Hutcherson’s masterpiece. It features six Hutcherson originals and Herbie Hancock’s acclaimed “Maiden Voyage”. This star-studded session features Herbie Hancock on piano, Bob Cranshaw on bass and Joe Chambers on drums. With its light and mellow tone, the album reached the top ten on Billboard’s Top Jazz albums.
