The four composers we have selected for this recording span some 65 years of French musical history. Each composer has a unique style, with especially Franck, Fauré, and Ravel all representing a revival of French music in their own time.

666 (The Apocalypse of John, 13/18) is a double album by psychedelic/progressive art rock group Aphrodite's Child. It was released in 1972, and was the primary vehicle/effort for the Vangelis project. It had a minor Album Oriented Radio hit in "The Four Horsemen", and the song "Break" was also released. The album was ostensibly an adaptation of Biblical passages from the book of the same name, but was also very experimental in lyrics and composition.

Mira is a self-released album from the international band Jienat, mixed and mastered on two crystal-clear Blu-ray CDs. One CD offers the album as an audio-only Blu-ray disc; the second presents the album as a standard CD/high-definition SACD. The SACD presented a huge, totally believable soundscape, with various drums and voices emerging from a dense blackness. Mira is a world-music sonic spectacular, a voice-and-percussion workout that transcends geographic boundaries.

Hiromi Iwasaki (岩崎 宏美) is a Japanese female singer who debuted in 1975. In 1981 she was awarded the Silver Prize at the Tokyo Music Festival. Pandora's Box (パンドラの小箱, Pandora No Kobako) is her seventh studio album. It contains her most immediately recognizable hit song, "シンデレラ・ハネムーン" — "Cinderella Honeymoon" (1978) has been such a consistent feature of monomane talent Korokke's routines, Hiromi Iwasaki has commented that when the intro played in concerts, fans would laugh, so she has ceremonially "gifted" that song to Korokke, whose performance has elongated both their careers.

Drummer Srdjan Ivanovic releases his new album "Modular". With his quartet, the musician has developed a new concept of compositional modules. Ivanovic skillfully plays with Western melodies, combines them with Eastern rhythms and thus creates an innovative jazz experience.
