The Dudok Quartet Amsterdam is forging a reputation as one of the most creative and versatile young quartets of its generation. With its mission of “sharing the heart of music”, the Dudok Quartet is committed to crafting unique and eclectic programmes in order to engage with its audiences in new and imaginative ways. Fresh from their latest accolade as winners of a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award, the Dudok Quartet Amsterdam embarks on a new project for Resonus Classics recording Franz Joseph Haydn’s six Op. 20 string quartets. This first installment of two volumes sees the quartet explore the C major, G minor and F minor quartets. With some of the most celebrated works from the quartet repertoire, the Dudok Quartet relish delving into the monumental and dramatic gestures within Haydn’s highly developed rhetorical style.

The new album recorded by the piano duo of Ludmila Berlinskaya and Arthur Ancelle on the Melodiya label is dedicated to English music of the 20th century. This is the third release in the series “Two pianos Originals Project” presented by Ludmila Berlinskaya and Arthur Ancelle on Melodiya. Since 2011 the tandem of two remarkable pianists has captured the listeners’ hearts in Russia, Europe and Asia. Their joint performances and recordings have received international prizes and been acclaimed by music critics.

This is without any doubt one of the best sounding vinyl releases I have heard in my life. The sound is just PERFECT on this release. This sounds so much better than the CD. The Music for the Jilted Generation vinyl release sounds great, too, but this album is 22 minutes shorter than Music for the Jilted Generation so there is much more space for each song on each side and you can really hear it !!! If anyone thinks CD is better than vinyl then he must listen to this release !!! You can get this release almost anywhere and it is so easy to find. Buy it. Buy it. Buy it. I love electronic music and this album has not lost any of its freshness ever since it was released twenty years ago.
