For all the spectacular achievements of Los Jaivas, it is widely accepted that it is Alturas De Machu Picchu on which the group reached its peak (although I think I just about prefer the double album Obras De Violeta Parra).

Tug of War is the third solo studio album by Paul McCartney, released in April 1982. It was McCartney's first album released after the dissolution of Wings in April 1981. Overall it was his 11th album since the break up of the Beatles. It was also McCartney's first album after the murder of former songwriting partner John Lennon.[1] The album was produced by former Beatles producer George Martin and was a number one hit in many countries. Some critics hailed it as a return to form for McCartney. Its remastered deluxe edition received a nomination for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package at the 2017 Grammy Awards.

What a mindblowing debut-album this is! The very melodic and harmonic music from this five-piece band is based upon an incredible dynamic and propulsive rhythm-section and splendid, very exciting Hammond organ work, often accompanied by a powerful and fiery electric guitar

This Greenslade's album is excellent, quite progressive and a bit keyboards oriented. The tracks are very varied. The 2 keyboardists use most of the imaginable vintage keyboards: rhythmic piano, clavinet, harpsichord, floating mellotron, rhythmic organ, Fender Rhodes and moog, among others.

Unlike many fellow reviewers, I don't think at all that "Spyglass Guest" is a major artistic turndown in Greenslade's career; while not being obviously as brilliant as its two preceding albums, it is full of good musical ideas, and the energy is still there, palpable and shining brightly.

Ghost in the Machine is the fourth studio album by English rock band The Police. The album was originally released on 2 October 1981 by A&M. The songs were recorded between January and September 1981 during sessions that took place at AIR Studios in Montserrat and Le Studio in Quebec, assisted by record producer Hugh Padgham. The album reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 2 on the US Billboard 200.

The final Beatles album was first released on 8th May, 1970, just prior to the launch of the cinema film of the same name. Rehearsals and recording sessions for the album had taken place in January, 1969 first At Twickenham Film Studios and later in the basement and on the roof of their Apple headquarters in London's Savile Row.

Born Now is the first album of the composer and oudist Hussam Aliwat. As much influenced by the cinema as the music, "Born Now" is built on 9 titles rich in dynamics, groove and singular rhythms; its structure and balance are supported by the subtle pace of improvisation. Through this album, the composer tries to overcome the limitations of a specific musical genre. Hussam invents a new mix of oriental, groove, rock and jazz music that invites his listener to travel across the traditional East and the classic West. Led by the sound of the oud, emblematic instrument of the Middle East, the two cellos and the drums, Aliwat takes us on a journey and goes beyond the limits of a specific musical genre, from the traditional East to the classical West, in a same piece.

Wave is the Canadian artist Patrick Watson’s sixth studio album, it arrives via Domino / Secret City on October 18, 2019. The songs are about how sometimes you have to sing a love song to yourself when no one else will, allowing the sound carry you and learning to trust where you will land. It is very personal and intimate, and it is the most humble of all their records.
