This is one of the most spectacular collections of high-quality, virtuoso acoustic guitar playing ever released. With Larry Coryell, the soul of the music NEVER gets lost in the technique and there is no better demonstration of Coryell at his best than this record. Coryell's musicianship, at this point in his career, was at an extremely high level and some of these tunes may take some extra listening to fully appreciate; but once you get used to them, you can't get enough.

Blackfoot were contemporaries of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and tried for years to make it as a Southern rock band, although they finally succeeded as a hard rock outfit, in the manner of AC/DC and the Scorpions.

Billy Squier knows his music is all right. He knows because he's got razor sharp hooks, air-tight choruses, and the "Big Beat." Though his former band Piper wasn't the next Kiss (both were managed by Bill Aucoin), Squier plays with the big boys right out of the gate on his first solo; Tale of the Tape deftly welds heavy licks to hard funk on a level with world-dominators Queen.

1979 was a transitional year for Joan Jett. In the spring of 79, Toby Mamis, The Runaway's manager at the time, contacted Kenny Laguna, a veteran of many bubble gum hits of the 60's, to write and produce some songs with Jett. Laguna brought in Ritchie Cordell, also a 60's bubble gum veteran, to cowrite and coproduce. In August, Laguna and Cordell flew out to Los Angeles to meet with Jett, and within a few days, had formed the basis for the songs contained on this disc. Raw, spontaneous (recording only took about five days), these tracks are a document of the first sessions of Joan Jett and Kenny Laguna's prolific more than 30 years partnership.

The ÜberBach album is a collection of compositions by the Munich-based composer Arash Safaian on themes by Johann Sebastian Bach. Safaian starts off with various pieces by Bach chorales, orchestral works, organ and clavier music and works with them to create five concertos for piano, vibraphone and chamber orchestra. Arash Safaians musical partner is the internationally acclaimed pianist Sebastian Knauer: When I heard the first example of ÜberBach, I was enthusiastic about the project at once.

Badlands was a short-lived rock band founded by former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee, former Black Sabbath vocalist Ray Gillen and future KISS drummer Eric Singer. This is their second album.

Touched By Love is the eighth album from German pianist/composer Bernward Koch on the Real Music label. The album contains fifteen selections from Koch’s previous releases plus two new pieces - a whopping seventeen tracks and 75 minutes of blissful music! There are four tracks from Walking Through Clouds (2006), two each from Journey to the Heart (1999), Gentle Spirit (2009), Silent Star (2011), Day of Life (2013), and Remembering (2015), and one from Flowing (1997), Koch’s Real Music debut. His music has also been included on many of Real Music’s compilation albums. Koch’s signature sound is distinctive and his music has become a mainstay in the new age music genre as well as on the Real Music label. It tends to be very gentle and dreamy and lends itself beautifully to relaxation, spas, meditation, quiet life moments, and anytime you want music that is soothing and uplifting. Koch is best-known as a pianist and keyboard player, but he also appears on this album playing synthesizer, guitar, bass guitar, cymbals, claves, gongs, and glockenspiel. His wife, Christiane Boehm appears regularly playing flute - also part of Koch’s distinctive sound - and his brother, Christoph plays 12-string guitar, percussion, and drums.

Gregory Stuart "Greg" Lake is an English musician, songwriter and producer. As a singer and instrumentalist, Greg Lake had his greatest success and influence in the progressive rock outfit Emerson, Lake & Palmer and, before that, as a founding member of the original King Crimson. He has also been reasonably popular as a solo artist working in more of a hard rock idiom.
