"Like they always do, Ozric Tentacles perform excellent psychedelic sound scapes that never bore the listener. There's a succession of calm and wild parts in each instrumental track. On several moments the psychedelic Hawkwind influence is apparent in the chaotic atmospheres. In other excerpts you'll find traces of eastern music, reggae or ambient. In this kind of music, you would expect the use of an electronic drum or drum computer but Ozric alwas uses real conventional drums which sound timeless. They also manage to keep the sound of the guitar very seventies."

Odyssice is a Dutch progressive rock band. The name is a fantasy name associated with Greek mythology.
It was founded in 1986 by Bastiaan Peeters (guitar), André Hubbeling (keyboards) and Alan Natele (drums). The group had an enormous start when 'Track One' was played on the Dutch radio-show Countdown Café in 1987. Well known bands like IQ, Pendragon, Oblique and other prog-bands were played in this radio-show. The phone never stopped ringing. Kees Baars host of 'Countdown Café' had never seen such a reaction. The music of Odyssice is quite unique and can be described as dark clouds of string-ensembles and beautiful long guitar-solos. The guitar-solos add a vocal quality to this impressive instrumental music. All these ingredients make the music colourful and illustrative.

Although Bruel aspired to be a football (soccer) star as a youth, he decided to pursue singing after seeing Michel Sardou in 1975. His first success came as an actor, however, in 1979's Le Coup de sirocco. He continued acting in films, on television and in the theater while pursuing his singing career. His first single, "Vide" ("Empty"), released in 1982, was not a success, but the follow up, "Marre de cette nana-là" ("Fed up with that chick"), was a hit.

In 1994, he released his first album La dernière Année (The Last Year), which contains the hit song Sur la Route (On the Road). He won a Victoires de la Musique award in 1996.
De Palmas released his second album Les Lois de la Nature (Laws of Nature) in 1997. The album was less successful than his debut album, probably due to the dramatic change in his style. He was in the slumps for 2 and a half years, until 2000. That's when Jean-Jacques Goldman restored his confidence and wrote a song for him titled J'en rêve encore (I still dream about it).
De Palmas composed and wrote 10 of the 12 songs in his third album Marcher dans le sable (Walking in the sand). 2002 was the year he was reborn as a star, as he won the Victoires de la Musique and the NRJ Music Awards, while playing more than 180 concerts. His songs even crossed the Atlantic, when Céline Dion sang his hit song Tomber (falling) in English, titled Ten Days. At the end of that year, Live 2002 was released on DVD and on CD, to commemorate his great tour of 2002.
Two years later, De Palmas returned with his fourth album Un homme sans racines (A man without roots), a more intimate album with less music, but still in the same melancholic style. After having problems with Universal, Gérald de Palmas is going to come back in November 2009 with his new album of which the first single is expected to be aired in May
