Forty-eight years have elapsed, and sopranos (Callas, Price, Caballé), tenors (Corelli, Domingo, Pavarotti), and conductors (Levine, Mehta, Muti) have come and gone, but this set still manages to be among the best Aidas ever recorded. classicstoday.com
A friend of mine went to college a couple days ago with a t-shirt that read Koka Kola, of course she has never heard about The Clash or this rock milestone, and probably there's still a lot of people who have yet to hear this amazing album, so I hope this helps a little. Nice sounding unremastered version, this was shared a long time ago in demonoid by ironluke, so great thanks to him. The covers were taken from another source since this wasn't originally shared with scans.
Teenage Head's debut album was a breath of fresh air for all of us who endured Canadian corporate rock of the late 1970s. The record's lo-fi production, lack of annoying soloing and straight-ahead simplicity heralded punk's growing influence on homegrown artists. The album was amazing from start to finish, full of catchy, memorable punked-up rock 'n roll with that great late 70's raw, crisp, yet full analog production. Somebody said in an earlier review it sounds like The Ramones with a Chuck Berry edge.., and all kinds of great Rock & Roll influences in there!
