Upon the release of this album, the Ohio Players were at the pinnacle of their long music careers, which date back to the late '50s. This album produced the number one Billboard R&B single "Who'd She Coo." The rhythm arrangement and jazzy horn arrangement are complemented by a titillating guitar, colorful vocals, and a suggestive lyric.

Funk, Inc. was a jazz funk/soul group founded in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1969 by Bobby Watley, Eugene Barr, Steve Weakley, Jimmy Munford and Cecil Hunt. During the 1970s they were signed to the Prestige Records label for whom they recorded five albums, though they later disbanded in 1976. Priced to Sell is the fifth studio album by Funk, Inc., released in 1974.

Second album of Hiro Yanagida is almost equally good as the debut one. "7sai no Rojin Tengoku" (which means "Elderly Person Heaven Of Seven Years". This album is also known under simple title: "Hiro Yanagida") doesn't bring any significant development compared to "Milk Time"…

"I'll Be Your Rainbow is the perfect example of how a classic '70s soul album should sound. Great songs (from Bobby and Motown hit-maker Vernon Bullock), wonderful orchestration (courtesy of Motown legend Paul Riser and the TK hit machine's Mike Lewis), and stellar musicians and singers (including The Jones Girls on background vocals) combine wonderfully with Bobby's impassioned vocals.

When Peabo Bryson and Roberta Flack teamed up in 1983 to record the Capitol album BORN TO LOVE, the pair had already experienced success as a duo thanks to the 1980 LP, Live & More (a Top 10 R&B best-selling album). By the time they headed into the studio to cut BORN TO LOVE, Bryson was six years into his recording career and had established himself as one of the premier black male vocalists of the day; Flack was already considered an internationally-renowned artist thanks to classic recordings such as ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ and ‘Killing Me Softly With His Song.’

Jacksonville, FL, native Jeff Floyd (born October 1965) is a throwback Southern soul singer who conjures up images and the aural extremities of the genre's best purveyors, notably Otis Clay and Bobby Womack. His music evokes emotions and feelings that linger long after the song has ended. A start in his church's choir piqued Floyd's interest in music to the point of becoming proficient on many instruments, which helped tremendously in his songwriting, with his baby being the bass guitar.
