Sony Classical is delighted to announce the reissue of its recordings by Tafelmusik, the celebrated period instrument orchestra. Originally released between 1989 and 1998, they are all being issued together for the first time in a single Sony Classical box set of 47 CDs. Founded in 1979, the Toronto-based ensemble “has built in its special field a reputation as solid as those of the New York or Berlin philharmonics”, declared The Washington Post. The New York Times summed up Tafelmusik’s achievements, writing that “beyond its impeccable discipline and luminous textures, the group displays an expressive sensibility that transcends the instruments, whether strung with gut or wire”.

Singer Jean Carne's career has had various incarnations, as well as a slight name change similar to Dionne Warwick's (adding an "e" to the end of her last name as Warwick did for a short time). Born Sarah Jean Perkins in Columbus, GA, she was raised in Atlanta. She began singing gospel music in the church choir at age four; she also took piano lessons and learned the clarinet and bassoon. Carne won a music scholarship to Morris Brown College and began her recording career in 1969 with her husband, keyboardist Doug Carn, on the Black Jazz label, where she was one of the last vocalists to work with jazz legend Duke Ellington before his death.

Jacksonville, FL, native Jeff Floyd (born October 1965) is a throwback Southern soul singer who conjures up images and the aural extremities of the genre's best purveyors, notably Otis Clay and Bobby Womack. His music evokes emotions and feelings that linger long after the song has ended.

After a decade out of the spotlight, Swedish goth metallers Beseech will release a new album, My Darkness, Darkness. It is set to be released on March 4th, 2016 . French group Saqqarah produced their first album "Genèse" in 1996, an ambitious concept-album based on the mysteries of the universe (Extra-terrestrials, lost civilizations, paranormal, etc.). The music was influenced by Pink Floyd but with no excessively obvious borrowing. The good quality vocals remind of the melodic French school (Cafeine, Naos, Elohim…). A quite good first effort. After nine years of stand-by, Saqqarah is back against all odds, with a second album entitled "The Awakening". The band has seen a few changes after the replacement of their singer, which led to rewriting the lyrics in English, now better integrated to the neo Progressive style that the band love…
