Akira Jimbo, also seen as Akira Jinbo (神保 彰 Jimbo Akira), born February 27, 1959 in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese freelance jazz fusion drummer who is famous for his drumming independence and fusion of electronic drum technology and acoustic drums. Aside from his solo work, he is also the drummer in the Japanese jazz fusion band Casiopea and has participated in various side projects with other musicians, including Keiko Matsui, Shambara, bassist Brian Bromberg. He is the main product presenter of Yamaha Drums Japan.

Famously tagged as "fascist" in a Rolling Stone review printed at the time of its 1978 release, Jazz does indeed showcase a band that does thrive upon its power, thrilling upon the hold that it has on its audience. That confidence, that self-intoxication, was hinted at on News of the World but it takes full flower here, and that assurance acts as a cohesive device, turning this into one of Queen's sleekest albums…

Formed in Finland in 1999, the longstanding act Gloria Morti has been releasing a steady output of full-lengths since 2004 (after a series of demos in the preceding years). After a four year absence however, the band is back with their latest maelstrom of blackened death metal in the form of Kuebiko, their first release via the 16 year old Willowtip Records label. Fans of the band will know more or less what to expect, with plenty of abrasive riffs and blast beats, with an ominous growl that could be the stuff of nightmares. While Gloria Morti is certainly a very capable act, this new release sadly seems to be a little above average and not exactly a classic of the genre.
