A mere 18 months have passed since Mob Rules celebrated their 20th band anniversary with the elaborate best-of boxed set Timekeeper, which earned them unanimously positive reactions all over the world. Now the melodic metal act from Germany s north are set to present their latest studio recording Tales From Beyond. The album is as impressive as we ve come to expect from this band, consisting of Mob Rules s familiar deeply melodic mix of progressive and power metal, again in combination with a highly dynamic production.

With Lighthouse, saxophonist Tim Garland, pianist Gwilym Simcock and percussionist Asaf Sirkis make the move to completely egalitarian collective. It's also the first album to feature the trio without any additional guests. Garland's Lighthouse Trio first came together on the saxophonist's If the Sea Replied (Sirocco, 2005), an ambitious song cycle that—in addition to including mates from his impro-folk Lammas and Acoustic Triangle, which by that time also featured Simcock—was scored for members of the Northern Sinfonia Orchestra.

Wonderworld continues in the vein of Sweet Freedom, trying to bring Uriah Heep's appeal to a wider level while still retaining the grandiose trademark elements (the organ-guitar attack, David Byron's operatic shriek) that got them noticed…

Gracious was a British progressive rock band which existed from 1967 to 1971, and released two albums, Gracious! (1970, Vertigo/Capitol) and This Is… (1972, Philips).Singer Paul 'Sandy' Davis and guitarist Alan Cowderoy formed a band, the Disciples, while at school in Esher, Surrey. Davis was the drummer and vocalist, and Cowderoy played lead; two other school friends played bass and rhythm (Keith Ireland). In 1968, Martin Kitcat and Mark Laird joined on Hohner electric piano and bass respectively. Davis was still drumming as well as singing, but Robert Lipson, who played in a rival Esher band, agreed to join, allowing Davis to take the front of stage.
