This box collects all of the earlier full-length releases of WMRI, some of which are published for first time on the web. Moreover, all included materials are original masters as they were first meant to be, even the original track titles were saved. These versions aren't considered authentic, but either historic or relic. The reference versions are four of these albums that were remastered and expanded in 2008 and released under the title First Wave. All these materials are going to be remastered soon or late, but for now this fills the holes in your WMRI collection.

The new album from Alaskans Thousand Year War creates a very satisfying blend of old school melodic death and black metal with other classic metal flavours resulting in an interesting and at times enthralling array of powerful and direct sounds. Tyrants And Men may not be exactly rippling in originality but it delivers metal that stirs up the senses with creative essences alongside its pummelling assaults.

The new album goes even further into early kvlt black metal than was heard on “In the Absence of Light,” burying the fuzzy screeched vocals underneath the other instruments. Abigail Williams seems to be going backwards through time and retracing the steps of metal evolution. The band started out originally with a deathcore sound, switching next to a very aggressive U.S. symphonic black metal for “In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns,” moving backwards into a European melodic black metal style on “In The Absence of Light,” and now ending up even further back into old school black metal.

Liszt's works and his influence have great significance for the history of music. He was not only one of the most brilliant instrumental virtuosos of all time, but also one of the most distinguished piano teachers the world has ever known. All Chopin's waltzes are typical of the new piano style he created. Mendelssohn's Italian Symphony enchants the listener through its charming cheerfulness and the recollection of Italian sun.

The first studio date of the Charles Lloyd Quartet, with Keith Jarrett, Cecil McBee, and Jack DeJohnette, was recorded and released just a few days before the band took both the European and American festival circuits by storm. First came Europe, which was just getting the disc as the band was tearing up its stages. While the live dates are now the stuff of legend, it's easy to overlook the recordings, but to do so would be a mistake. Dream Weaver is a fully realized project by a band – a real band – in which each member has a unique part of the whole to contribute.

For his debut Telarc Blues release, Little Milton continues in the soul-blues vein he helped to popularize starting with his work for the Chess label in the mid-'60s. His impassioned vocals are as strong as ever with guitar chops to match. The 12 tracks that make up Think of Me could be likened to a classic Stax production sans the driving horn section. The first-rate work of organist Bruce Katz keeps the proceedings percolating through Little Milton's soul-blues base liberally mixed with flourishes of country music, swamp pop, R&B, and urban funk. Any fan of Little Milton's Malaco releases of the '80s and '90s will definitely want to add this to his collection.

Dreamtime is an album released by The Stranglers in 1986. The title track was inspired by a belief of the aboriginal peoples of Australia - called Dreamtime. This album appears to be a natural evolution from Aural Sculpture; it contains a mixture of upbeat and thoughtful tracks and includes the addition of pedal steel guitar to complement the horns. Highlights include "Always the Sun", which became a frequently-played live track and "Shaking like a Leaf", with its "Swing"-like feel.
