For All We Know is a project by Within Temptation guitarist Ruud Jolie. He has recorded a lot of songs and albums with other artists, but the urge to write and record his own material has always been present.So for the last 4 years he has been working on this music both when he was on the road with various bands (Within Temptation, Agua de Annique, Damian Wilson Band, Maiden uniteD, etc) and in his own studio. He considers himself very fortunate to be able to work with some of the greatest musicians and people imaginable on this project.The album For All We Know, written and produced by Ruud himself, contains 12 original songs that range from very atmospheric and dreamily acoustic to heavy and pounding progressive metal tracks.

One of the finest AOR releases so far this year (2002) together with Harlan Cage and Frontline! This is nothing new under the sun but Jess Harnell sings great and there are lots of terrific songs like the title track(an uptempo party tune that can make a perfect start for any day). "Lovers in the night" sounds a bit like it could be a song with the classic hard rock band Icon! "I cant wait" has some harmonies that could be sung by Nelson. One of the better songs is the extraordinary "Time to let go" with a classy AOR chorus.

I Wear the Face is the debut album released from Mr. Mister, released in 1984 on the RCA label. It was re-released on October 5, 1990. The only single released (with a corresponding music video) was "Hunters of the Night" which was co-written with George Ghiz, who was the band's manager at the time. It reached a high of #57 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. This title is out-of-print.

Maurizio Pollini's late 1970s film recordings of Beethoven Piano Concertos 3 and 5; Mozart Piano Concertos 19 and 23; and Brahms Piano Concerto 2 have it all: great pianism, beautiful playing by the Vienna Philharmonic, magnificent conducting by Karl Bohm (Beethoven, Mozart) and Claudio Abbado (Brahms), all adding up to one thing: a beautiful experience. These DVDs are a feast for the ears: great audio, and the eyes: great video. The 1970s Unitel films used in this DG release have held up very well in the vaults: there are no glitches or imperfections in the picture. The camera work is also excellent, and serves the music being performed.
There is no audience, and the recording venue: Vienna's Musikvereien, has wonderful acoustics - one of the best concert halls in the civilized world. It was worth alot to me to see Karl Bohm smile at Maurizio Pollini at the beginning of I, of Mozart's Piano Concerto 19 with it's humorous, scherzo like theme which begins the concerto. Highly recommended!
