is a collection of one-shots dealing with different characters in the Marvel Universe who are hunted by Osborn as based on a checklist he had made of those he thinks most dangerous to him. It sets the status quo for many books. In Norman Osborn emphatically decides that now permanently-puny Bruce Banner and his son Skaar are threats, and sends Moonstone and a tricked-out Victoria Hand to deal with him. As per usual where the Dark Avengers are concerned, the battle is sort of dirty and underhanded, and therein lies the fun of it.

This is the original six-issue miniseries and the 2008 Annual, all in black and white, not that being entirely in black and white was a liability. In fact, just like in which is in my opinion the best ongoing comic series today, the granularity of the story elements and details are emphasized all the more. One gets the feeling that color would only serve as a distraction and would in fact diminish the comic book as a whole.

After six issues and an Annual, the book went on a temporary hiatus. Now it’s back as "Volume 2", and this time in full color. The preview issue #0 was released last May 2 during Free Comic Book Day.

The 2009 hit film , directed by J.J. Abrams, was essentially a re-start of the original five-year mission, for which IDW Publishing laid the groundwork for the story in the four-issue prequel comics series, (the complete miniseries is also posted here on Avax by bigsid--just search for it). Written by Mike Johnson and Tim Jones, and based on a story by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, Countdown introduced the character Nero and also spanned the gap between and the Enterprise’s earliest voyages in Star Trek. One of the biggest questions fans have about the Star Trek movie is "What was Nero doing for 25 years?" because the time between the attack on the USS Kelvin and the arrival of Spock and the Jellyfish is left blank. Well, Star Trek: Nero will fill in that gap, with the same creative team behind Countdown. It is considered part of the ongoing rebirth of the Star Trek franchise for which IDW Publishing is playing an active part.

E se sei furbo hai senz’altro intuito che dietro i panni del dottor Mouse si nasconde il Dr House, protagonista dell’omonima serie televisiva! Un’occasione imperdibile per gli appassionati del noto telefilm americano quella di vedere il dispotico e geniale dottore interpretato non da Hugh Laurie, ma da Topolino!

Fabian Nicieza and Ramon Bach's takes its brooding anti-hero and has him make some difficult moral decisions without ever pushing him too far into the tired category of urban vigilantes willing to kill in order to clean up the streets. In many ways this first issue of DC Comics' new monthly series takes some daring, yet just the right amount of understated steps in the right direction. The artwork, on the other hand seems out of sync with the story and where it is going. Still, better than average.
