Major Holley was best known for using the Slam Stewart trademark of singing along with his bowed bass solos, although he sang in unison while Stewart vocalized an octave above his bass. Otherwise, Major Holley (known as "Mule") was a fine supportive bassist…..

If you are a Nina Hagen fan, this is one of her best. This CD is probably the most commercial one she's done but also has excellent production, writing and of course, singing.
I've loved everything I could get of Nina's since the self titled album. This album is typically strange. Really it starts off with a country and western sound (in a kitsch way). Moving into ballad form with "King of Hearts", then pop trash "Pillow Talk", blues with "I'm Gonna Live the Life" and then finishing with I think the first of her Indian inspired work with "Omhaidakhandi".
