    This is one of two Thunder CD's I bought and I play them both over and over again. Thunder are a truly wonderful rock band and I love them. They are not well enough known as far as I'm concerned. Every track is super and I can listen to them on repeat forever. My boyfriend's band cover a couple of their songs and they're my favourite. What more can I say, I love them and you will too.

    It’s a strange idea for a compilation. The Soul Queen of New Orleans: 50th Anniversary Celebration ostensibly marks a half century since Irma Thomas had her first recording session, and that’s certainly a noteworthy accomplishment. Oddly, though, the collection only includes material from her Rounder era, a span of about 25 years. There are three new cuts and three non-Rounder appearances, but it’s still a bit like celebrating Mark McGwire’s rookie season and forgetting that the Oakland A’s ever existed. Fortunately, Thomas’s Rounder output has been good enought that even missing some of Thomas’s biggest hits, the record still stands up.

    Pink Floyd Meddler (a.k.a. The Floyd's of London) came from an FM broadcast over the BBC in England. The songs featured were "Fat Old Sun", "One of These Days", "Echoes", "The Embryo", and finally a blues instrumental. This show was also performed before a live audience and was later broadcast on Peel's "In Concert" program on the 12th of October. The STEREO dimension adds so much to the recording, you can actually hear very distinctly what each band member is doing. This recoding is just an incredible listen from start to finish. The sound is amazing as is the performance of the Floyd.
