Jessica Brando, al secolo Jessica Vitelli, ha appena sedici anni ma ha già fatto cose che molte coetanee si sognano: ha debuttato a Sanremo con la canzone "Dove non ci sono ore" e ha alle spalle un omonimo Ep di cover, nel quale ha reinterpretato canzoni di gente come Muse, Stevie Wonder e Radiohead. E oggi esce il suo primo album, "Dimmi cosa sogni": una raccolta di inediti scritti con diversi autori e che ha visto ben tre produttori come Umberto Iervolino (già al lavoro sull’Ep del 2009), Ferdinando Arnò (produttore artistico di Malika Ayane) e Luca Mattioni (Valerio Scanu). Nel disco, anticipato dal singolo "Il colore del cuore", figura anche un duetto con Andrea Bocelli, che ha prestato la voce al brano "Ricordati". Genesis could be construed as a band of two periods, with the progressive rock foundations of the Peter Gabriel era, changing to later poppier years, fronted by Phil Collins.They were formed in 1967 while Peter Gabriel (vocals) and Tony Banks (keyboards) were at school together. With additional members Anthony Phillips (guitar), Mike Rutherford (bass & guitar) and Chris Stewart (drums) and with the production help of fellow Charterhouse ex-student Jonathan King, they recorded their first album From Genesis to Revelation in 1969. It didn't sell too well but they kept going.
In the early 1960s, a bunch of boys from Cambridge began jamming together, and out of those encounters were born the early incarnations of Pink Floyd. Fields of the Nephilim are a semi-active English gothic rock/gothic metal band formed in Stevenage, Hertfordshire in 1984. The original line-up consisted of vocalist Carl McCoy, saxophonist Gary Whisker, Tony Pettitt on bass, guitarist Paul Wright and drummer Alexander "Nod" Wright. Following the release of the debut EP Burning the Fields, Whisker left the band to be replaced by Peter Yates as second guitarist. The band's name refers to a Biblical race of giants or angel-human hybrids, known as the Nephilim. Although they have not received substantial mainstream success, the band's seminal sound has proved highly influential, especially in the genre of gothic rock and, later on, gothic metal and rock noir.
