Emil Georg Conrad von Sauer (October 8, 1862 – April 27, 1942) was a notable German composer, pianist, score editor, and music (piano) teacher. He was a pupil of Franz Liszt and one of the most distinguished pianists of his generation. Josef Hofmann called von Sauer "a truly great virtuoso." Martin Krause, another Liszt pupil, called von Sauer "the legitimate heir of Liszt; he has more of his charm and geniality than any other Liszt pupil."

Formed in the year of 2000, In Mourning has been active as a band for over 12 years. Over the earlier years of its existence the band released several demos and went through some changes in both lineups and musical directions. At first starting out as a more goth-influenced band, before finally finding both the direction and the solid lineup they were looking for and releasing the album debut Shrouded Divine in 2008 and the follow up, Monolith, in 2010.In August 2011 In Mourning began recording their new conceptual album, “The Weight Of Oceans”. Once again the band is working with engineer Jonas Kjellgren in the Abyss and Black Lounge studios, resulting in about one hour of music.

Karajan was a great Straussian, and this collection, produced by John Culshaw in 1959-60, with the VPO (especially the strings) in superb form, shows him at his most charismatic. Also sprach Zarathustra was a famous early Decca stereo demonstration record, and remains as spectacular as ever. The many-faceted portrait of Till is delectably witty, Don Juan is exciting, racy, and full of sensuality, which is voluptuously shared by the dramatic and sinuous 'Salome's dance'. The transfers undoubtedly recreate the sonic excitement of the originals.

Portal might be noted most for scoring music to film, and has won the César Award for Best Music Written for a Film three times. His first win was for the music to The Return of Martin Guerre. He plays both jazz and classical music and is considered to be one of the architects of modern European jazz.

This album was the fifth solo recording of No. 1 of the flamenco guitar of all time, Paco de Lucia (1947), first published in 1973, when Paco had was only 25, and reprinted in successive years. This versions is remastered in 2002. With this album Paco took the leap of his career and began the cycle of its huge international presence, which has led him to stardom enjoyed today.
