This album is by far more musically varied compared to the last two albums. Put heavy metal, classical music, jazz, Indian traditional music, Stockhausen, and Xenakis into a cauldron of hell and stir it, you'll get "In Somniphobia". It is a pure sonic nightmare that lasts more than an hour.
Vivus! captures two stunning full concerts of the final line up of metal pioneers Death in one deluxe double-cd package. Disc One features the band at the height of their prowess tearing the roof off the infamous Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles while Disc Two is a brilliant recording of the band on the festival stage at Dynamo Open Air. Stacked with brand new liner notes from Death drummer Richard Christy and the bands long-time manager Eric Greif as well as newly unearthed photos of the band, Vivus! is more than just an artifact from one of heavy metals true legends, its a pair of discs that sit confidently next to Death's untouchable catalog of albums.
Move over Valdes's and Rubalcaba's. There's a new royal family of Cuban musicians in the works. Here's a stunning Latin jazz release by Cuban pianist extraordinaire Harold Lopez-Nussa, nephew of acclaimed pianist Ernan Lopez-Nussa. Lopez-Nussa performs material from Jobim, Miguel Matamoros, Pablo Milanes, Santiago Felu, Cesar Portillo, Silvio Rodriguez, Cervantes and others. With Ruy Adrian Lopez-Nussa (a brother), Nestor G. Del Prado Fernandez, Yandy Martinez Gonzalez, guests Ernan Lopez-Nussa, Yaroldy Abreu and many others.
Catalonian composer Xavier Montsalvatge began violin lessons at the age of nine, around the same time as his father's death and his move to Barcelona to live with his grandfather. This move later allowed him to attend the Barcelona Conservatory and numerous concerts that greatly influenced him. His teachers at the conservatory were Francisco Costa for violin and Enrique Morera and Jaume Pahissa for composition. He himself became a teacher at the school in 1933. His first important works were the 1934 Tres impromptus for piano, for which he won the Rabell prize from the Patxot Foundation, and the Suite burlesca, for which he won the Pedrell prize in 1936. Rejecting the legacies of Wagner and Richard Strauss that dominated in Spain ……..All Music Guide

The debut album of The Modergrade is a dozen of small plays in style of dubstep and chiptune. Dynamical electronic music, melodic and sometimes more aggressive, which can easily be imagined as a soundtrack for a computer game or a cartoon, minimalistic and charming in its own way.
