The Blues Band is a British blues band formed in 1979 by Paul Jones, former lead vocalist and harmonica player with Manfred Mann, and vocalist/slide guitarist Dave Kelly, who had previously played with the John Dummer Blues Band, Howlin' Wolf and John Lee Hooker.

Emil Georg Conrad von Sauer (October 8, 1862 – April 27, 1942) was a notable German composer, pianist, score editor, and music (piano) teacher. He was a pupil of Franz Liszt and one of the most distinguished pianists of his generation. Josef Hofmann called von Sauer "a truly great virtuoso." Martin Krause, another Liszt pupil, called von Sauer "the legitimate heir of Liszt; he has more of his charm and geniality than any other Liszt pupil."

Blues in Orbit is an album by American pianist, composer and bandleader Duke Ellington recorded for the Columbia label in 1959 and released in 1960.

‘Midnight in the Labyrinth’ is the latest inspired work from the UK’s most successful extreme act & sets out to explore a more cinematic side with a soundtrack of classical & symphonic material; a style the band has always woven seamlessly into their compositions throughout their career. The release contains 2 discs, with disc 1 featuring an accompanying narration courtesy of Dani Filth, plus additional vocals from Sarah Jezebel Deva, notable for her history of work with the band. Disc 2 contains purely orchestral & symphonic recordings.

This release features several synthesizer-enhanced ballads that both excite and soothe, and ultimately provide a beautiful background for contemplation and meditation.
