Home Again is the fourth studio solo album by singer Jimmy Somerville, released in 2004. Highlights include 'It's So Good' (written with Paul Mac) and 'Come On' (written and recorded with Rosenstolz). An album of storming club and radio hits, maintaining a completely fresh and contemporary feel, thanks to the help of various internationally renowned producers and DJs. «But Not Tonight», the other cover, was only good enough as a B-side for fellow Eighties electro stalwarts Depeche Mode, but it is the revelation of the album. We hear a completely different version of Jimmy’s voice, to great effect.

From their humble beginnings of being hailed “Denver’s newest party band” to the sophisticated praise of “specialists of authentic Nigerian afrobeat,” Colorado-based world-funk outfit, ATOMGA is leading the charge in musical fusion with the release of their first full-length LP, “Black Belt.” While the band thrives on whipping audiences into a sweaty, danceable hysteria that’s rooted in afrobeat, “Black Belt” will showcase the outfit on a much more lateral level that is not confined to finite musical pigeonholes.

Hammond-driven Blues Band with soulful vocals, stinging guitar, stylish harp and groove drums. Dennis Newman began his professional career in music at age twelve as a drummer/singer when he formed a pop group called "The Runaways", and played local events in his hometown of Rye, New York. He later switched from drums to keyboards and founded another rock band, "The Saratoga Wrecking Crew", and performed at high school and college dances. He also took up harmonica and fronted the "Odds ‘n Ends", a rock'n'roll band gigging throughout the New York/New England area. Newman relocated to Los Angeles and hooked up with various bands, and developed a unique playing style, backing his soulful vocals with swirling Hammond organ and stylish blues harp…

Pearl Jam's October 22, 2000, concert in Las Vegas is of great historical significance to the band because it happened ten years to the day after the group's first ever public performance (in a Seattle club named the Off Ramp Cafe). So the theme of this night in Las Vegas is a celebration of the band's first ten years of existence and of their roots. Singer Eddie Vedder takes some time out during a forced pause in the show due to technical problems to share some stories about the band's early days.

Last's trademark is arranging pop hits in a big-band style; his series of "party albums" is equally well-known. Over the course of his career, he has sold well over 50 million albums."

Humperdinck's reputation rests chiefly on his opera Hänsel and Gretel, which he began work on in Frankfurt in 1890. He first composed four songs to accompany a puppet show his nieces were giving at home. Then, using a libretto by his sister Adelheid Wette rather loosely based on the version of the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, he composed a Singspiel of 16 songs with piano accompaniment and connecting dialogue. By January 1891 he had begun working on a complete orchestration. The opera premiered in Weimar on 23 December 1893, under the baton of Richard Strauss, who called it: "a masterpiece of the highest quality… all of it original, new, and so authentically German.

James Robinson was a featured lead vocalist with the R&B/Disco group Change and in 1987 he signed with the then CBS/Sony-distributed Tabu Records label and recorded this stunningly beautiful but criminally underrated album. Like most R&B albums of the late 1980s, "Guilty" features a variety of tempos and styles ranging from slow-tempo Quiet Storm ballads to New Jack Swing-flavored dance tracks to mid-tempo ballads to a Gospel number. For my personal taste, the Quiet Storm ballads "Guilty", "Feel Like Going On", "Can We Do It Again?" and the mid-tempo groover "Just What I've Been Missing" are the ones that make this album (which was issued on CD only in Japan). Enjoy!

BIS present a disc of music from two long-standing collaborators: the Russian composer Nikita Koshkin and the Greek guitarist Elena Papandreou. On the present disc, all four works are world première recordings, and three of them were written with Elena Papandreou in mind. The Megaron Concerto was the result of a commission from the Athens concert hall which has given its name to the concerto.

Stevie Ray Vaughan s guest slot for Robert Plant on the Non-Stop-Go tour was not at all representative of his worth in terms of bill position or a true reflection of his talent, but was ultimately prestigious enough considering the continuing legacy of Led Zeppelin and their iconic front man. Vaughan and his band Double Trouble were already enjoying the formation of their own legacy, which would grow in stature on the strength of the Live Alive album from 1986, and Vaughan s past collaborations with David Bowie and Jackson Browne.

Chandos certainly has guts, going toe-to-toe with Mackerras’s Gramophone Award-winning set. Hickox’s Australian forces need not fear the comparison. Cheryl Barker may not have the refulgent tones of Renée Fleming on Decca (who has?) but she is even more moving in conveying Rusalka’s desperation. Mackerras is still my must-own, but this runs it close.

A stunning self-reinvention by a band that many had given up for dead, 90125 is the album that introduced a whole new generation of listeners to Yes. Begun as Cinema, a new band by Chris Squire and Alan White, the project grew to include the slick production of Trevor Horn, the new blood (and distinctly '80s guitar sound) of Trevor Rabin, and eventually the trademark vocals of returning founder Jon Anderson…
