John Abercrombie's longstanding partnership with Mark Feldman has yielded several albums of exquisite music, and Wait Till You See Her is no different. The mood is naturally restrained, contemplative, and introspective as you would expect, while there's a common thread of healthy respect that keeps the quartet in the softer mezzo piano range. With acoustic bassist Thomas Morgan and the irrepressible drummer Joey Baron, the electric guitarist and violinist weave their way through one standard and seven originals from Abercrombie that comes straight from the heart.

Say this for Steve Walsh and his career outside of Kansas: it's not predictable. Well, that, and that he's been intent on rocking much harder on his solo records than he did in Kansas, a band that always favored elaborate dramatics. That was the case with his 1980 arena rock solo debut, Schemer-Dreamer, and that's the case a quarter of a century later with Shadowman, which rockets off with a bracing blast of speed metal riffs and pounding double bass drums.

SAD MINSTREL is the nickname of Fabio CASANOVA, former keyboardist in MALOMBRA (on the band's first two albums). "The Flight of the Phoenix" is the title of the awaited debut album by Fabio after the band split up. Some titles are interesting, and it's hard to choose an absolute winner among them.

The compact disc, as a sound carrier, was still on the horizon when Herbert von Karajan urged his record company to utilize the new digital technology in his recordings. Consequently Karajan's Magic Flute, recorded in 1980, became the first release of a Deutsche Grammophon digital production and was first released on LP.

This glorious 10-CD box set contains 250 original Rockabilly recordings featuring Jonny Cash, Carl Phillips, Johnny Horton, Marty Robbins, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Hank Thompson, Faron Young, Bill Haley & The Saddlemen and many others. All the tracks were recorded between 1947 and 1960 but with the vast majority coming from the 1950's.
