Japanese division of Wea Music puts out this live CD by German melodic rock combo Fair Warning, a band that rose from the ashes of Zeno. The gig included on this disc was recorded at Club Cita in Kawasaki/Tokyo, Japan on April 18, 1993. From the start Fair Warning had a bigger following In Japan than in their home country and Europe, and this CD underlines this once more. Excellent recording. Check out the truly amazing vocals.

MonkeyHead is an energetic Heavy Rock Quartet from the East Coast. It was formed in late '95 by the guitarist Jason Hook and vocalist Simon Davies. These two guys grew up listening to commercial rock radio that broadcast bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Queen and even Kiss as major influences. Later (2001) the band was completed by the bass player Paul Bartel and the drummer Steve O. Earlier this year they recorded this album in the vein of Dokken, Warrant, Winger and also Bon Jovi for the ballads.

Heartbeat is an album by Curtis Mayfield. This 1979 offering mixed disco rhythms with soul balladeering. Future Temptation Ron Tyson contributed to some of the songwriting and production. "Tell Me, Tell Me (How Ya Like to be Loved)" was remixed for a 12" by Fred Breitberg and Michael Hearn and the duet with Linda Clifford "Between You Baby and Me", edited as a single, was also issued on The right combination, an album of duets between both singers released in 1980. It's the first Mayfield album he didn't produce entirely.

Awesome 100 CD set containing a plethora of classic Big Band sounds from the era when Benny Goodman's 'Let's Dance' became the motto of an entire country…in fact, the whole world! The Big Band Box takes you from the formation of the original Big Band of Fletcher Henderson to the 17-piece line-up of Stan Kenton's Progressive Jazz. This 100-CD set is a fantastic tour through almost all the big bands / directors of note from the 1930s to 1950.

After an initial few years playing in bands and being disillusioned by record company interest and band conflicts Newman was formed in 1997 by Singer/Guitarist Steve Newman. He enlisted the help of Mark Mulholland (Drums) and William Marshall (Bass) for the first self titled album which was subsequently released through Point Music in Germany that following year. Musically the band has a very American sound, but Steve Newman’s vocals are so British that it creates a whole new slant. It’s a sort of cross between Nightranger and FM, the choruses are so huge.

Eric Moe is an alchemist of expressive extremes, from what he calls ‘beautiful quiet music’ to ‘the rough, raucous stuff’. His exquisitely controlled music distils rare eloquence, grace, force and beauty from the incongruous elements of pop, rock, jazz, African drumming and classical sources as diverse as Mozart and Stravinsky. Edgy and lyrical, gritty and elegiac, the works on this disc synthesise the harmonies of Debussy, the drum licks of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Bud Powell’s extraordinary pianism and much more besides into an exuberant musical fusion.

This recording features World Premiere recordings of works by Boccherini and his contemporaries Facco, Porretti and Vidal. The Boccherini 'Sonata in c minor' was only discovered in March of 2004. Facco's 'Balletti for Two Cellos' are the first known works for the instrument to have been composed in Spain.

STEELE is an 80's metal/hard rock band originally from New Jersey, now based in Los Angeles. Permanent members include lead singer/guitarist/songwriter Jeff ‘Steele’ Zugale and bassist Steve Witschel, with help from lots of friends like Ted Poley of Danger Danger, Hiro Homma from Japan's EZO, Loudness and most recently Anthem, and Joe Fiamingo and Irene Wohlman of New Jersey rockers Xenon.
